There are 3 Sight Word Books that need to passed off during the school year. I will be sending updates here and there via Remind app to let you where your child should be. The sight words listed in the homework also correspond to the booklets.
When your child is ready to pass off one list, a few lists, or the entire book, have them return it to school and I will show them where to place their book for passing off. Please allow 1 week for my parent volunteers to pass them off. Have your child use the sight word lists below to continue studying while they wait for their book to return. As they pass off a list, they will receive a sticker to put on the cover. Their book is complete when all of the numbers are covered with stickers. Each word need to be read in about 2 seconds to be passed off. At the bottom of each page, there is a box that you will need to fill out so I know your child has practiced these words with you.
Below are our Sight Words that you can print at home! Each book is put on one big list. Click on the picture below that your
child needs extra practice with, but remember to keep practicing the older sight words too. The extra practice you can do at home will really benefit your child with their reading fluency in the classroom.
I also included some practicing ideas. You can print it out and hang it on your fridge so you'll never run out of exciting ways to practice!
